Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) | Remote across Canada with flexibility to work PST hours

BNV Recruiting is representing a fast-scaling, venture-backed technology company, that is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help build and evolve foundational platform infrastructure. The company is modernizing a traditional industry through strategically applied AI-enabled automation at scale across North America.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys ownership, systems thinking, and building scalable, secure infrastructure at the intersection of cloud, AI, platform engineering, and operational excellence.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how infrastructure is architected, deployed, monitored, and scaled; partnering closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen platform performance, security, developer experience, and AI readiness.

• Design, build, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS
• Improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
• Strengthen infrastructure as code practices (Terraform or equivalent)

• Build and mature observability systems across logs, metrics, and tracing
• Improve monitoring, incident response, and system health visibility
• Define infrastructure reliability standards and operational workflows
• Support proactive platform performance optimization

• Strengthen foundational security practices across infrastructure
• Support IAM, secrets management, and security monitoring
• Contribute to compliance initiatives (SOC2 or similar)
• Help shape a security-first engineering culture

• Partner with technical teams supporting AI / ML initiatives
• Help build infrastructure supporting model deployment, experimentation, and scalability
• Contribute to systems supporting LLM or advanced AI service layers
• Improve operational maturity for AI-first environments

• Improve CI/CD systems and deployment workflows
• Support platform tooling that enhances developer velocity
• Contribute to long-term platform strategy

• 6+ years in Infrastructure, Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, or SRE
• Strong AWS expertise
• Observability / monitoring ecosystem experience
• Ownership mindset in high-growth environments
