Senior Product Manager, Serverless Compute

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Serverless Compute team based in Vancouver, Canada. Our team owns the products that make it radically easier for builders to build scalable, reliable, and intelligent cloud applications without managing infrastructure. Our portfolio includes AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Event Bridge, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk – services that power millions of customer workloads across event‑driven architectures, workflow orchestration, and full application deployment.

We are innovating how customers build complex, multi‑step, AI‑native applications on AWS, including durable execution for AI agents and next‑generation compute primitives.

Responsibilities

Author documents related to the product life cycle, including product roadmap, business requirements, and functional specifications.

Prototype new features and experiences to rapidly test ideas.

Drive product development across teams—primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing—through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.

Act as an advocate for customer needs in collaboration with Engineering.

Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms, identifying partnership and collaboration opportunities.

Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and learn what we can build to enable and delight them.

Partner with technical leaders to ensure the programming model, scalability, reliability promises, and developer experience delight customers.

Set strategy, define the product, and make difficult, high‑judgment trade‑offs between features and time‑to‑market.

Own the business model and P&L, product roadmap prioritization, customer segmentation, pricing, and demand generation for impactful new products.

Play a key role in hiring additional team members and help set the vision, values, and culture of this business.

Depending on interests, work on event‑driven architectures, workflow orchestration, durable execution for AI agents, or developer/agent experiences that make building, deploying, and governing serverless applications effortless at any scale.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience.

5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.

3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, or related) experience.

Experience taking a product from conception & definition through engineering design to market.

Experience delivering large‑scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products responsible for the full product lifecycle from concept through GTM.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.

Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies.
