Software Quality Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software QA Automation Engineer to join our Apple Services Engineering QA Team. Our team is responsible for App Store Connect , an integral part of the app ecosystem that includes a Web App, Mobile App, and Public API. In this role, you will focus on automating features and conducting functional testing for client/server flows and associated tools/services, always with a strong emphasis on maintaining high quality.

App Store Connect serves a fast-growing global marketplace with customers in over 155 countries, offering music, movies, TV shows, books, and apps.

• Conduct functional testing and automate client/server applications
• Analyze system and application-level logs to diagnose and replicate issues
• Plan, design, maintain, and execute test cases with minimal supervision
• Automate client-side applications and ensure continued functionality as new features are introduced
• Take ownership of assigned components ensuring high-quality delivery
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional engineering teams
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with exceptional prioritization skills
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into testable scenarios

• 5+ years of strong QA experience with a proven track record in defect detection and reporting
• 3+ years of strong QA Automation and Testing experience with client-side applications
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Unix/shell scripting
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured
• Strong ability to design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies
• Proficiency in testing methodologies including functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and usability
• Experience with data privacy, security, and accessibility testing principles
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems such as Jira

• Proficiency in client-server API and UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6

5+ years of QA experience; 3+ years of QA automation experience with client-side applications; proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Unix/shell scripting; experience with API testing tools; familiarity with defect tracking systems such as Jira.
