Job Purpose GSK is looking to hire a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Pipeline Solid Tumors to join our Oncology Medical Affairs Team. This field‑based role with hybrid flexibility reports to the MSL Manager, Pipeline Solid Tumors and covers the Canada West territory. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Vancouver, Edmonton, or Calgary.

Responsibilities- Build and maintain peer‑to‑peer scientific relationships with oncology specialists and other healthcare professionals; communicate balanced, evidence‑based information to support clinical decision making.
- Act as the field‑based scientific expert for your territory, staying current on solid tumor biology, treatment approaches and the evolving scientific landscape.
- Gather and report clinical and practice insights from the field to inform pipeline medical strategy, evidence generation, and local operational plans.
- Support clinical development by identifying and qualifying potential investigators and clinical trial sites across Canada.
- Represent GSK at scientific meetings and congresses, supporting expert engagement, session coverage and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver scientific training to internal colleagues using approved materials and contribute to cross‑functional projects as required.
- Advanced post‑graduate scientific degree (MD, PhD, or Pharm
D). - Proven ability to explain and present complex scientific data clearly to clinical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare environment, including hospital systems and access pathways.
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence and ability to travel within the territory (up to 60–70%).
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet objectives in a field‑based role.
- 2+ years of prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar medical affairs role, ideally in oncology or solid tumors.
- Established network and relationships with oncology clinicians in Canada.
- Experience supporting clinical trials, investigator‑initiated studies, or real‑world evidence projects.
- Familiarity with Canadian reimbursement and access processes.
- Bilingual capability in English and French for bilingual territories.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
In compliance with British Columbia provincial pay transparency legislation, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual compensation for this role is CAD
115,500 to CAD
192,500, determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
