We are seeking a Systems Engineer (Temporary) to support the operation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure services. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to manage virtualization, container platforms, Windows and Linux systems, storage solutions, and data center operations. This position provides hands‑on experience in a large‑scale enterprise environment while contributing to infrastructure reliability, security, and ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support and monitor VMware, Open Shift, and related infrastructure platforms.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Perform data center activities including hardware installation, upgrades, inventory management, and lifecycle support.
- Support enterprise storage systems and infrastructure services.
- Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and operational issues.
- Execute patching, system updates, security remediation, backup, and recovery activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure and application‑related issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Support automation efforts using Power Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Participate in infrastructure deployments, maintenance, testing, and project initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, operational procedures, and technical policies.
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, data center operations, or a related IT role.
- Strong VMware virtualization technologies experience. Familiarity with Open Shift preferred.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and container platforms.
- Familiarity with Power Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Customer‑focused approach to supporting internal stakeholders.
- Exposure to Open Shift and/or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions such as Net App or Dell Power Store.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience working in a data center or enterprise IT environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Red Hat, Microsoft, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent.
