Vancouver Public Library IT Support Specialist

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Desktop Services as part of a dedicated team of IT technicians. You will troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues, manage desktop fleets, provide mobile device support, and actively participate in staff training. Your ability to write clear documentation will aid in maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot desktop and network-related issues
• Build and deploy computer images for users
• Support mobile devices, including Android and iOS
• Create and manage user accounts securely
• Document procedures and user guides effectively
Requirements:
• IT-related degree or diploma with library experience
• Proven ability in desktop support and management
• Operating knowledge of Active Directory and Intune
• Experience with scripting languages is a plus
• Valid driver's license for British Columbia
