Position: Senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support a large-scale Core Banking Integration and Migration Program.
Our Financial Services Client is looking for a Senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support a large-scale Core Banking Integration and Migration Program. This role will lead end-to-end solution design across complex system integrations and data migration workstreams, supporting a major merger and transformation initiative within a highly regulated banking environment.
The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in defining and governing the integration architecture across multiple systems, ensuring alignment between business, data, and technology layers. This includes producing key architecture artifacts, establishing integration standards, and supporting delivery pods in executing complex migration and integration activities.
6 months contract to start, % Remote (Candidates must be located in BC, ON, AB candidates)
Must Have:
10+ years within enterprise architecture, integration architecture, or solution architectureStrong financial services, banking, or credit union experience leading complex enterprise integration initiativesFamiliarity with ARIS or enterprise architecture toolingStrong background in:Data flow designSystem-to-system integrationsExperience creating:Conceptual integration diagramsData flow diagramsArchitecture design artifactsIntegration design documentationExperience building reusable architecture frameworks or integration “playbooks” for enterprise programsStrong stakeholder management and leadership skillsForward-thinking mindset with the ability to create scalable frameworks and standardsBackground as a Software developerNice to Have:
Prior involvement in bank mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale core banking transformationsExperience with data mapping, reconciliation, and financial data validationBackground working in pod-based or managed service delivery modelsResponsibilities:
Lead the creation of 6–10 end-to-end migration solution designs, covering system impacts and integration dependenciesDevelop a central Integration Conceptual Design that serves as the architectural baseline and playbook for current and future merger initiativesDefine and document integration architecture standards and reusable patterns across programs and podsCreate supporting ARIS architecture artifacts to align with enterprise architecture governanceContribute to broader architecture playbooks for merger and acquisition programs going forwardProvide technical leadership and guidance to delivery pods including BSAs, QE, and migration teamsEnsure alignment between source and target systems during migration and validation phasesSupport planning for mock rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and production cutover readiness
