Threat Detection Security Analyst

Join the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) as a Security Analyst focused on Threat Detection and response, based in Vancouver, BC. You'll enhance security practices while managing incident response and cloud security.

This full-time role has you reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, where you will identify and remediate cyber threats that protect vital systems. Your collaborative efforts will help cultivate a proactive security culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead remediation efforts for cyber incidents

• Improve operations for vulnerability management and SIEM

• Conduct audits and maintain security policies

• Provide training for staff on security practices

• Support secure Azure cloud infrastructure management

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field

• 3-5 years of experience in cyber security or cloud operations

• Preferred certifications include Security+ or CISM

• Strong skills in documentation and communication

• Experience with risk management and compliance
