Position: VPD User Support Specialist II Role
Advance your career as a User Support Specialist II with the Vancouver Police Department, specializing in technical support. Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and support services for VPD's technology needs.

This position is housed within the Infrastructure & Client Support Services Unit and is expected to last for one year. You will tackle user requests, resolve hardware and software issues, and work with a team to enhance the effectiveness of VPD's technology infrastructure. Your problem-solving abilities will be crucial to the success of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and prioritize requests for technical assistance

• Provide deskside support and address after-hours issues

• Investigate and resolve technical software and hardware problems

• Define solutions for new client requirements and issues

• Collaborate with others on unresolved, complex tech issues

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a tech-focused environment

• Completion of an IT certificate program or related training

• Adeptness in the VPD's computer systems

• Ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently

• Must have Enhanced Security Clearance
