Position: Applied Scientist for Amazon Smart Home
Elevate machine learning innovation at Amazon as an Applied Scientist focused on Smart Home technologies. Leverage your PhD to develop end-to-end systems and tackle complex datasets in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing production-level systems for Amazon Science. Collaborating with Amazon scientists and interns, you will create technical roadmaps that drive impactful projects. Your work will address previously unsolved problems, enabling advancements in natural language processing, robotics, and automated reasoning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end systems for Amazon Science

• Create and manage technical roadmaps for projects

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business challenges

• Drive production-level project implementations

• Maintain attention to detail in a dynamic work environment

Requirements:

• 3+ years building models for business applications

• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years in ML or related field

• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, or Python

• Familiarity with algorithms and data structures

• Depth in LLM and multi-modal LLMs knowledge
