Terraform Cloud Engineer – INTL India

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Terraform Cloud Engineer for a leading Vancouver-based retailer.

This is a hands-on platform engineering role responsible for the administration, governance, and evolution of the organization's Terraform Cloud platform. You will partner closely with the Enterprise Platform Engineering team to deliver secure, scalable Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, enable self-service infrastructure provisioning, and drive platform adoption across engineering teams.

• Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Terraform Cloud, including workspace management, governance, access controls, policy enforcement, and platform operations.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable Terraform modules, templates, and Infrastructure-as-Code standards to enable self-service infrastructure provisioning.
• Develop and enforce platform guardrails using policy-as-code (Sentinel or OPA/Rego), ensuring compliance, security, and operational consistency.
• Manage integrations between Terraform Cloud, Git Lab, AWS, Kubernetes, identity providers, secrets management platforms, and other enterprise tooling.
• Design and support Git Ops and IaC workflows that automate provisioning, lifecycle management, and infrastructure changes.
• Partner with Security and Compliance teams to implement SSDLC standards, audit controls, and infrastructure governance practices.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and adoption metrics, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Create documentation, reference architectures, and runbooks to support platform adoption and operational excellence.
• Drive enablement through mentorship, office hours, automation, and communities of practice.
• Explore and implement AI-assisted tooling to improve infrastructure delivery, operations, and developer productivity.

• 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Deep hands-on experience administering Terraform Cloud or Terraform Enterprise, including work spaces, policies, governance, RBAC, state management, and platform operations.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform module development, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Experience operating AWS and Kubernetes environments at enterprise scale.
• Experience implementing policy-as-code using Sentinel, OPA/Rego, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Git Ops, CI/CD, security controls, and infrastructure governance practices.
• Experience integrating Terraform Cloud with Git Lab and other enterprise development platforms.
• Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted tools within engineering workflows.
• Proven ability to own and operate highly available production platforms while driving automation and developer productivity improvements.
