In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Compliance and Risk Assessment team and report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer. Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement effective strategies that address significant risks associated with information security and technology. Your contributions will enhance organizational resilience against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the University’s cybersecurity risk management processes
• Lead the development of compliance and governance structures
• Advocate for best practices in privacy and information security
• Oversee risk assessments for major institutional projects
• Facilitate training to improve institutional risk awareness
Requirements:
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Ten years of leadership experience in technology risk management
• Proven ability in compliance with recognized standards
• Strong understanding of privacy regulations
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills
Influence UBC’s cybersecurity strategy, leading compliance and risk management for safeguarding university operations.
