Azure Cost Optimization Engineer Role

This position emphasizes hands-on experience and analytical skills in optimizing high-impact Azure services. The Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer will delve into Azure Advisor for spend analysis, fine-tune Cosmos DB settings, and address inefficiencies across compute resources. The core focus is on achieving significant cost reductions by implementing practical and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze spending patterns via Azure Advisor and Cost Management

• Optimize Cosmos DB for RU/s and indexing

• Improve compute strategies for VMs, VMSS, and AKS

• Tune Azure Cache for Redis and Storage solutions

• Evaluate microservices for waste and over-provisioning
Requirements:

• 5+ years experience with Azure infrastructure

• Strong in Azure Advisor, Cost Management, and anomaly detection

• Proven track record of cost savings in Azure

• Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB, Compute, and Redis

• Deep understanding of performance analysis and capacity trends
