Senior Project Manager

Position: Senior Project Manager at Xenon Pharmaceuticals
Shape impactful drug discovery initiatives at Xenon Pharmaceuticals in Vancouver, BC. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead Discovery-stage programs in a hybrid work environment with a focus on collaboration and communication.

As a Senior Project Manager/Associate Director, you will work closely with various Discovery teams including Chemistry, Biology, and Toxicology, while also interfacing with departments like Finance and Legal.

Your role encompasses managing resources, developing project management tools, and ensuring timely completion of key milestones across multiple projects. You’ll play a critical role in aligning cross-functional stakeholders and tracking the progress of Discovery-stage research effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project tracking tools for scope and budget

• Oversee Discovery-stage Contract Research Organizations

• Coordinate external studies including logistics and protocol reviews

• Track and communicate action items from project meetings

• Support scientific disclosure approvals and regulatory report drafting

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in chemistry or biology

• 5+ years’ experience in biotech drug discovery

• Preferred project management experience

• Strong communication skills with attention to detail

• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies
