Position: Cybersecurity Specialist for K-12 Education
Direct your cybersecurity expertise as a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist with Focused Education Resources Society. Work in a hybrid model while enhancing digital security for the BC K-12 environment.

You will serve as a key advisor under the Director of Cybersecurity Services, enhancing cybersecurity frameworks across school districts. Responsibilities include assessing vulnerabilities, providing audit support, and spearheading training initiatives to build cybersecurity awareness among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies to safeguard data and technology

• Execute technical audits and facilitate cybersecurity assessments

• Document cybersecurity processes and implications

• Plan and manage cybersecurity projects effectively

• Create educational materials on cybersecurity best practices

Requirements:

•

B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 4-6 years of cybersecurity experience in complex settings

• Relevant certifications like CISA or CISSP

• In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux, and security architectures

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
