Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

As a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Monachus in Vancouver, BC, you’ll guide startups in security, compliance, and system operations without chaos. Your expertise in GRC and vCISO services will drive impactful security outcomes.

Monachus seeks a highly skilled security leader capable of strategic thinking and rapid execution. You will work closely with founders and CTOs, acting as a trusted advisor while managing client security engagements. Expertise in cloud security, compliance frameworks, and hands-on execution will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on security posture and risk strategies as fractional CISO

• Lead SOC, ISO 27001, and security programs end-to-end

• Assess and improve cloud security environments

• Manage vendor security assessments and due diligence

• Support incident response planning and tabletop exercises

Requirements:

• 10+ years in information security roles

• CISSP certification required; CISM or CCSP accepted

• Experience with SOC 2 and GDPR standards

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and vulnerability management

• Proven history of managing multiple client engagements
