Shape data requirements for Orbis across Investment, Operations and Client pillars in London or Vancouver, using stakeholder management and data analysis.
As a Data Business Analyst, you will frame complex problems and translate business needs into requirements engineers can deliver. You will own discovery and scoping across initiatives while supporting Orbis’ evolving platform, data, and AI alignment. The work spans investment management, operations, and client data.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage data owners to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities
- Create data contracts, user stories, acceptance criteria, and scope definitions
- Sequence project work and articulate trade-offs for prioritisation
- Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities
- Drive adoption through documentation, training, and feedback loops
- Five-plus years delivering data or technology projects
- Experience translating needs into functional and technical data requirements
- Working knowledge of pipelines, ETL, modelling, and data products
- Comfort discussing APIs and integration design with technical teams
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
