Catastrophe Modeler, Catastrophe Exposure Analysis
The Catastrophe Modeler is accountable for the complete, consistent, and timely detailed analysis of catastrophe risk data. They will assist in the coordination and communication of the portfolio-level catastrophe and exposure risk as well as development and support of risk management tools and projects. The Catastrophe Modeler prepares data and results related to policy, sector, and company initiatives that have portfolio-level impact.
Responsibilities- Catastrophe exposure analysis and portfolio reporting
- Designing and developing custom tools and processes to facilitate catastrophe modeling.
- Identifying portfolio improvement opportunities.
- Post‑secondary school education in Engineering, Actuarial Science, Geography, Statistics/Math, and/or equivalent on the job experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the property insurance industry.
- Working knowledge of catastrophe modeling products and Geographical Information systems is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Completion of CCRA, CRM, CSCR or similar Catastrophe Risk Accreditation is an asset.
- Completion of CIP, FCIP, or other insurance industry education is an asset.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $70,000–$100,000. The actual base salary may vary depending on experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
