As an Insurance Advisor

  • At least2years’ experience in a sales and service environment, including 6months of general insuranceexperience, including travel and automobile insurance

  • Level 1 Insurance license,witha commitment tosecureyour

    Level 2 Insurance license within your first 12 months of employment. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost.

  • Completion of Autoplan Essentialsora commitmenttocompletewithinyour first3months. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost.

  • Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC.

  • Comfortable using technology, includingworkingknowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint,Outlook) 

  • Bonus qualifications!Experience selling home insurance, knowledge of ICBC systems,and ability to speakother languages aside from English.

  • During a typical day, you will:

  • Work with team memberstorecommend

    BCAAinsuranceproducts and services to current and newcustomersto meet their needs.

    You’llhelp them secure and/or renew their policiesby reviewing current coverage and making recommendationsin person and over the phone.

  • Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for our customers.

  • Achieve sales and productivity goalswhile upholding

    BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goalsandunderwriting guidelines.

  • Managecustomeraccounts and documentation, from processing payments to issuingnew, renewal,endorsementsand cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, andadditionalproducts and services.

  • Increaseyour industry knowledge andexpertisetowards becominga Senior Insurance Advisorwithin 12 months.

    You’llparticipatein BCAA’s training courses,maintainannual licensingrequirementsandkeepup to date withthe latestprocesses,productsand service offerings in the insurance industryin a supportive environment.

  • The salary range for this position is $46,768.44 to $58,460.52 and isdeterminedvia job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, marketdemandand internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 21.5%.
