Vancouver Underwriter for Commercial Lines

Reporting to the Commercial Lines Manager, your role as an Underwriter will involve managing a diverse portfolio while ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately quote new submissions for optimal results

• Determine policy renewal eligibility based on guidelines

• Engage brokers through strategic visits and events

• Collaborate with internal departments on mutual concerns

• Provide underwriting advice in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial underwriting

• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Detail-oriented with effective communication capabilities

• Education towards CIP/FCIP designation is a plus
