VAST, established in 1986, seeks interpreters fluent in multiple languages to assist refugee clients with mental health services. Interpreters will provide vital support while maintaining strict professional boundaries during sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication between clients and staff
• Conduct interpretation for clinical sessions and groups
• Translate documents and social media posts
• Notify supervisors of incidents and client needs
• Provide technology training for clients on various platforms
Requirements:
• Fluency in English and one other language
• Minimum two years of professional interpreting experience
• Experience in trauma-informed settings
• Background working with vulnerable populations
• Proof of interpreting qualifications required
