Project Procurement Specialist

Horizon Recruitment seeks a Project Procurement Specialist for major capital projects in Vancouver. This flexible hybrid contract role involves strategic procurement and vendor management throughout project life cycles.

In this position, you will support capital projects via comprehensive procurement planning and execution. The successful candidate will develop project-specific procurement strategies, handle RFQs and RFPs, and oversee EPC partner activities. Close collaboration with project managers and internal stakeholders is essential to aligning procurement with timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support all phases of procurement planning and execution

• Develop and manage procurement strategies and plans

• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and bid evaluations

• Oversee procurement activities of EPC partners

• Monitor procurement schedules and critical path impacts

Requirements:

• 8+ years of project procurement experience

• Background in mining, heavy industrial, or oil and gas

• Experience with EPCM firms strongly preferred

• Strong contract change management skills

• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems
