The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading procurement execution, supplier management, and supply planning decisions to ensure continuity of supply, service performance, and operational readiness across manufacturing operations. Driving data‑based supply chain decisions, resolves supply risks, and optimizes inventory and planning parameters to improve service levels, working capital, and overall supply chain performance.
This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Operations Team located in Vancouver and will be an on‑site role.
Responsibilities- Lead procurement execution and supply decisions for assigned materials to ensure on‑time delivery, supply continuity, and production readiness
- Own supplier performance management, including delivery, quality, and risk mitigation, and drive corrective actions when needed
- Translate MRP and planning signals into supply actions (order placement, rescheduling, exception management)
- Manage inventory performance by driving actions on excess, slow‑moving, and at‑risk inventory to optimize working capital
- Maintain and govern supply chain master data and develop reporting on shortages, supplier performance, and inventory trends to support decision‑making
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field; CSCP or SCMP certification considered an asset
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, materials planning, or operations within a manufacturing environment
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) for purchasing, planning, and master data governance
- Experience with MRP and advanced supply planning systems (ASCP or equivalent), including planning parameter management
- Advanced data analysis capability using Excel and reporting tools to support supply chain decisions
- Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device)
- Experience in supplier performance management and supply risk mitigation across complex supply chains
- Experience supporting planning parameter optimization and supply strategy execution in advanced planning systems
Annual salary range: CAD $85,167 – 100,333. This range may be modified. The role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and RRSP.
