Service Facility Janitor
Summary of Position:
The Service Facility Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized service shop environment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring service bays, common areas, and staff spaces are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and safety. The Service Facility Janitor plays an important role in upholding workplace standards, supporting technician efficiency, and maintaining a professional service environment.KPIs:
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized service shop environment at all times
Ensures service bays, floors, and high-traffic areas are kept free of debris, spills, and hazards
Completes daily, weekly, and scheduled cleaning tasks thoroughly and on time
Proactively identifies and addresses cleaning or maintenance issues independently
Safely operates and maintains cleaning equipment and tools
Reports facility, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to management
Completes work efficiently without leaving tasks incomplete for others
Follows all health, safety, and WHMIS procedures at all times
Secures the service facility after operating hours when assigned
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors and vacuuming
Refill supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen
Inspect machinery and report any faults to management
Safely operate equipment such as floor polishers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners
Carry out routine inspection and maintenance activities
Address immediate cleaning/maintenance needs
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Professional communicator
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Environment:
Our hours of operations are below. The hours and days of work depending on your role with a 40-hour workweek for full-time employment.
Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm
Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm
