Part-Time Building Custodian at Atira

Provide critical custodial support as a Building Custodian at Atira Women's Resource Society in Downtown Eastside, Vancouver. Be part of a mission-driven team focused on women's empowerment and safety.

This part-time position requires a strong commitment to the organization's values and the ability to work effectively in a culturally responsive environment. In this role, you will clean and maintain spaces vital to community safety, working directly with women who are overcoming significant challenges. Your work will foster trust and provide a sense of home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean and maintain shared bathrooms and kitchens

• Wash floors and carpets; manage dusting tasks

• Ensure grounds are tidy and report maintenance needs

• Collect and dispose of waste properly

• Maintain safety through regular inspections and reporting

Requirements:

• Minimum of one month related experience required

• Certified in First Aid and Crisis Intervention (training provided)

• WHMIS certification is necessary

• Physical fitness to perform custodial duties

• Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese an advantage
