Part-Time Building Custodian

Atira Women’s Resource Society is seeking a Part-Time Building Custodian in Vancouver. This role contributes to maintaining a safe and clean environment for women in recovery housing.

This part-time position requires cleaning floors, kitchens, and common areas at Veronica Block Support Recovery Housing for Women. The Building Custodian will ensure an environment that supports those affected by gendered violence and misogyny. You’ll report directly to the Program Manager and help maintain a safe space for residents in a harm-reduction setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean floors, carpets, and common areas

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and kitchens

• Dispose of refuse and manage waste

• Report any building damage to Program Manager

• Clean stairwells, windows, and furniture

Requirements:

• Must identify and live full-time as a woman

• One month of related experience required

• Valid First Aid and WHMIS certificates needed

• Ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks

• Criminal record review required
