Building Services Worker

Hogan’s Alley Society in Vancouver is hiring a Building Services Worker to ensure the upkeep of Nora Hendrix Place, a supportive housing site. Support community well-being through cleanliness and culturally sensitive engagement.
As a vital team member reporting to the Building Manager, you will manage cleaning tasks and support a safe living space designed for Black and Indigenous residents. Your work will include detailed cleaning, regular communication with maintenance teams, and collaboration with various care providers, positively influencing the community's fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure cleanliness of the building and outdoor areas
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies
• Communicate maintenance issues effectively
• Collaborate with service providers for resident care
• Administer first aid as needed
Requirements:
• At least one year experience in a similar role
• WHMIS certification is a must
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of anti-oppression and harm reduction
