Exterior Cleaner will perform daily cleaning and snow removal tasks outside of the mall, including cleaning and maintaining sidewalks, curbs, exterior entrances, green spaces, storage areas, and interior common areas. Tasks include snow removal, pressure washing, sweeping and dry/wet mopping. Cleans entrances, green spaces, sidewalks, and other areas as per contract requirements. Follow all Health and Safety training provided.
Key Responsibilities- Remove snow and ice and apply sand/salt as directed by the Property Manager per the Snow Management Plan.
- Maintain the tractor and other provided equipment as directed by the Property Manager per the Snow Management Plan.
- Clean and maintain all exterior storage areas.
- Wipe and empty exterior garbage cans and ashtrays.
- Litter pick all sidewalks, parking lot, landscaped areas and loading docks throughout the property including the anchor tenants.
- Sweep, pressure wash and weed control sidewalk curbing and islands on a cycle basis to prevent build‑up.
- Remove pallets and shopping carts to designated areas.
- Deploy and reposition parking lot barriers as required.
- Check for graffiti on all exterior walls, lamp standards, doors, signs, garbage bins and loading docks and remove immediately (graffiti should be removed within 24 hours).
- Check all exterior signs (on and off the building) and wipe clean any dirt, reporting any damages, missing signs, and hazards.
- Pressure wash mall and anchor tenant entrances bi‑weekly from June to October using Owner’s equipment, removing gum and stains.
- Pressure wash Building D rear sidewalk bi‑weekly from June to October using Owner’s equipment and a degreasing agent.
- Pressure wash and clean Building D garbage room bi‑annually in spring and fall using Owner’s equipment and a degreasing agent.
- Pressure wash all buildings perimeter sidewalks yearly before June 1 st using Owner’s equipment.
- Check all exterior doors and wipe clean and report any damages. (Season/Weather dependent)
- Immediately clean up any standing water or spills in entrance ways, service corridors, or any other floor surfaces in the center and indicate wet surfaces with “Caution – Wet Floor” signs until dry and safe from any potential hazard(s).
- Dust mop and wash service corridor floors using walk‑behind machines as required (indicate wet surfaces with “Caution – Wet Floor” signs until dry and safe from any potential hazard(s)).
- Check parking lot for potholes and report to the Property Manager the same day.
- Report low gas or snow removal supply levels to the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
