The Janitor and Maintenance Worker reports directly to the Site Manager, ensuring all aspects of the facility are properly maintained.

Your role includes janitorial duties, monitoring building equipment, and maintaining repairs while adhering to Lookout's mission of support. Interaction with staff and volunteers is crucial to meet the needs of guests and ensure a good working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, wash, and wax floors efficiently

• Remove garbage and manage recycling containers

• Monitor and maintain building equipment regularly

• Perform repairs including plumbing and landscaping tasks

• Assist and train new staff and oversee volunteer activities

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education and 2 years experience

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate required

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage stress

• Clear criminal record in the Vulnerable Sector
