Skilled Property Maintenance Assistant Needed

Take on a rewarding position as a Property Maintenance Assistant within the Housing Department specializing in the North West Area. This full-time role focuses on maintenance, inspections, and contractor management.

As a Property Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for the upkeep of various rental properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe. This position demands strong organizational skills and a technical understanding of maintenance, allowing you to execute repairs and assist in property management effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and report unit and property inspections

• Test and inspect equipment, overseeing contractors as needed

• Carry out repairs in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance

• Aid caretaking staff in their maintenance roles

• Complete assignments as designated

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 and relevant maintenance training

• Minimum of 5 years in property maintenance

• Bondable with a valid BC driver's license

• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations

• Strong assessment and communication abilities
