Weekend Custodian for West Schools

Help maintain Bowen Island Community School as a weekend Custodian with West Vancouver Schools, focusing on cleanliness and minor maintenance tasks. This permanent position starts at $26.02 per hour with flexible scheduling.

Effective from August 29, 2026, your work will be crucial in creating a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll perform a variety of duties under the guidance of the Head Custodian while adhering to the Custodians Manual. The role requires self-motivation, effective communication skills, and the capability to work both independently and in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute cleaning routines as directed

• Support with light repairs and maintenance tasks

• Keep organized records of daily tasks

• Execute instructions effectively, both verbal and written

• Ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness standards

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or comparable qualifications

• Certification as a Building Service Worker

• Valid BC Driver's License required

• Experience in custodial tasks preferred

• Physical capacity for certified duties, including climbing
