The salary range for this position is CAD $38.88/Hr.

- CAD $55.89/Hr.

The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. Testing may be required. A criminal record check may be required

As a Facilities Supervisor at Providence Health Care, you'll play a key role in supporting the operation of our healthcare facilities and preparing for the opening of the new St. Paul's Hospital in 2027
. You'll lead maintenance teams, oversee projects, and help ensure critical building systems remain safe, reliable, and compliant.

This includes

  • Supervising the daily activities of maintenance staff within an assigned service area
  • Coordinating maintenance, renovation, and construction projects from planning through completion
  • Ensuring the safe operation and code compliance of hospital facilities, equipment, and building systems
  • Managing contractors and external service providers to support operational and project goals
  • Driving continuous improvement through performance monitoring, benchmarking, and industry collaboration
  • Providing technical expertise and building strong relationships with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and healthcare partners

Education & Experience
  • Trades Qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade or Power Engineering certificate.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related experience including a minimum of two (2) years direct supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire staff, and build a team environment that fosters trust and respect.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer relations, communication and facilitation skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Possesses business acumen and analytical skills to anticipate financial and business requirements and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance and construction projects within a large complex health care environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of working relationships and trades needs in a maintenance department within a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate issues and develop various options for resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate current computer applications such as AutoCAD, word processing, database, spreadsheet, and maintenance management systems.
