Custodial Service Worker at UBC

Join UBC's Custodial Services team as an Auxiliary Service Worker. This role involves cleaning, minor maintenance, and supporting campus events during the evening shifts.

As an Auxiliary Service Worker, you'll contribute to maintaining a clean and functional environment at the Vancouver Point Grey Campus. You'll perform custodial tasks such as dusting, mopping, and replenishing supplies. The position requires you to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring the overall upkeep of various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum all surfaces

• Maintain cleaning supplies and request materials as needed

• Clean windows, surfaces, shades, and blinds

• Collect garbage and empty waste receptacles

• Assist in emergencies and report maintenance needs

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 with 1 year relevant experience

• Knowledge of custodial procedures and safety regulations

• Ability to operate custodial equipment effectively

• Strong communication skills for teamwork

• Capacity to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
