WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician
to be responsible for daily maintenance and fixes to reduce stoppages in Filling and Compounding, as well as preventive maintenance.
This is an on-site role based out of our Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke
.
PAY RANGE
The anticipated base salary for this position is $27.00 to $29.00.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Responsible for inspecting and examining all machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Assist in installation, alignment, dismantling, and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Report machinery issues. Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports
- Troubleshoot and maintain labeling, printing, production chillers, and small pumps
- Perform routine maintenance such as adjustment, cleaning, lubricating, and repair or replacing defective parts of equipment
- Be able to work under the direction of qualified trainers and senior team members
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and provide documentation as required. Proactively inspect equipment daily to identify early stages of breakdown to implement corrective action
- Notify the Senior Maintenance Manager/Head of Maintenance of any maintenance issues, seek guidance and support, but must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision
- Comply with all safety and health regulations (PPE, lockout procedures, etc.) and follow GMP
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task with effective time management and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new concepts and skills (e.g., welding, hoisting/rigging, working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
- This is a physically demanding position and requires the ability to lift 25kg
- Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in the manufacturing industry an asset
