School Custodian in West

Support West Vancouver Secondary School as a Custodian, guaranteeing a pristine and secure environment for students. This temporary position is full-time, Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM until 10:30 PM.

Under the direction of the Head Custodian, the Custodian will manage comprehensive cleaning processes and simple maintenance duties as necessary. Candidates should possess a high school graduation, a Building Service Worker Certificate, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. This role is essential for the upkeep of educational facilities and requires a team-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas of the school

• Carry out requested minor maintenance activities

• Adhere to cleaning protocols from the Custodians Manual

• Collaborate effectively with custodial staff

• Manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and valid BC Driver's License

• Certification as a Building Service Worker required

• Fire Safety Course certified

• Good communication skills and physical capability

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
