Janitor​/Maintenance at Lookout Housing

Take on a vital role at Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Janitor/Maintenance Worker in Vancouver, BC. This position combines janitorial responsibilities with necessary maintenance tasks.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the mission of Lookout by ensuring both internal and external cleanliness. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day maintenance and providing a safe space for residents. Compliance with safety regulations is a primary focus in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sweeping, waxing, and disinfecting tasks

• Manage waste removal and recycling protocols

• Oversee building equipment and maintenance needs

• Conduct repairs and upkeep of facilities

• Assist in training new staff and support volunteers

Requirements:

• High school diploma required

• Two years related work experience expected

• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification must be current

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• At least two years sobriety from substances required
