Facility Cleaning Aide

Use wet mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and power equipment as a full-time Housekeeping Aide at Cooper Place. Saturday and Sunday are days off.

This regular full-time position cleans and maintains assigned facility areas under the Manager, Support Services or delegate. Work includes light and heavy cleaning, high dusting, resident-room service, washroom disinfection, linen collection, and supply replenishment. The schedule runs from 0700 to 1500.

• Wet mop, vacuum, scrub, wax, and polish facility surfaces
• High dust or vacuum pipes, lights, and ventilators
• Use step ladders where necessary for assigned cleaning
• Strip and make beds while tidying resident rooms
• Remove refuse and replenish soap and paper supplies

• Grade 10 or equivalent education, training, and experience
• Ability to operate related cleaning equipment
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
• Ability to organize assigned work
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
