What You Will Do
Summary
St. Vincent’s Heather (SVH) is Providence Health Care’s new long-term care home currently under development at 33rd Avenue and Heather Street in Vancouver. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a modern, resident-centered environment designed to enhance the quality of care and support the evolving needs of seniors and their families. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter,  we are seeking two (2) Project Managers, Technology Systems Implementation , to play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering the innovative technology systems that will support the future of care at SVH.

The Project Manager, Technology Systems Implementation is responsible for leading the planning, design, and implementation of technology systems for complex projects cent's:
Heather Long Term Care (SVH). This role oversees all aspects of project delivery, including project planning, project management, stakeholder communications, and contract management. The Project Manager ensures the seamless integration of planning and design activities with IMIT strategies and clinical operational models, supporting the effective delivery of health services and alignment with SVH's strategic goals and objectives. The position provides leadership and oversight to assigned staff, contractors, consultants, and project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, communication, and high-performance outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring
Education, Training and Experience
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree supplemented by formal training in project management or relevant discipline, plus seven (7) to ten (10) years’ recent, related progressively responsible experience in implementing technology systems from business cases to specification development and implementation of large and/or complex technology system capital projects including experience in:

implementing technology systems in an existing healthcare environment or within a new facility; and

project management, supervision, and facilitating and managing consultation processes with stakeholder groups.

Project Management Professional Designation or in progress would be considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of technology systems capital project planning and implementation processes, including design, construction and procurement within new hospital facility construction.

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.

Broad knowledge of patient care delivery systems in primary, acute and community settings.
