Health & Safety Superintendent at Artemis Gold

Shape the safety culture at Artemis Gold's Blackwater Mine as Health & Safety Superintendent. This role emphasizes leadership in safety management practices and compliance across all functions.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Health, Safety & Security, the Superintendent will ensure the mine site adheres to safety regulations and effective risk management strategies. Strong leadership skills and a commitment to coaching safety personnel are essential to drive ongoing compliance and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in safety training across all mine departments

• Audit and inspect operations for safety compliance

• Lead safety investigation initiatives and root cause analyses

• Provide technical safety advice to management and workers

• Develop and review safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

• 10+ years in safety roles at operating mines

• 5 years in managing Occupational Health and Safety

• Surface Mine Rescue Certification preferred

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work remotely on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off basis
