Compensation: CAD $72,000 – $82,000
Our client, an established and growing organization, is expanding its R&D function and is hiring two Product Development Specialists with strong backgrounds in solid dosage formulation and product development. These roles offer hands-on involvement across the full product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization, working closely with manufacturing and cross-functional partners in an on-site environment in Greater Vancouver.
Role Summary:
The Product Development Specialist supports formulation development from concept through commercialization, with a focus on solid dosage forms. This role acts as a formulation subject matter expert and provides technical support to pilot-scale and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize solid dosage formulations (tablets, powders, chewables, gums)
Support new product development from ideation through scale-up
Conduct sensory evaluation and support flavor development
Maintain formulation documentation, protocols, and batch records
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers
Support cGMP-compliant pilot and production activities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
2+ years of product development or formulation experience
Experience with solid dosage manufacturing and equipment
Exposure to cGMP manufacturing environments
Strong documentation, communication, and multitasking skills
Note:
Authority to work in Canada is required.
