North Chemical Plant Operator

Chemtrade seeks a Chemical Plant Operator in North Vancouver for a 12-month temporary role focused on safety and efficient operations of chemical manufacturing. Engage in the production and loading of sulphur-based products.

In this role, you’ll oversee the operation of plant equipment, perform critical quality tests, and ensure compliance with safety regulations related to Dangerous Goods. Familiarity with chemical processes and equipment will be key, as well as your ability to conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and adjust chemical manufacturing processes

• Perform quality assurance testing on chemicals

• Ensure compliance with TDG safety regulations

• Engage in loading activities for rail cars

• Maintain order and cleanliness in the facility

Requirements:

• Valid Fourth Class Power Engineer certification

• Knowledge of chemical processes and equipment

• Strong numerical and general chemistry skills

• Forklift certification and experience preferred

• First aid training is a plus
