Manufacturing Technologist, GMP

Job Description Summary

STEMCELL Technologies' GMP Manufacturing Team is continuing to expand and we are looking for more Manufacturing Technologists to join our team to support production of our life science research products! In this role, you will work collaboratively with other team members, performing hands‑on work, and manufacturing products in an aseptic clean room environment. As a member of the Manufacturing GMP team, your work is essential to making our high‑quality research products that drive science forward.

This is an excellent position to progress your career in the scientific field by refining your aseptic skills and learning industry documentation practices, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Please note that late evening and occasional weekend work may be required based on production batching schedules and business needs. These are 18‑month contract positions.

• Identify, set up, and operate production equipment required in the manufacturing of products.
• Follow written batch records and procedures to manufacture assigned products while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards.
• Weigh raw materials, compound, formulate, and perform aseptic processing.
• Maintain accurate production records and electronic transactions to adhere to the Quality Management System.
• Generate new GMP documents and work with supporting departments on investigations.

Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell Biology) or an equivalent field are required.

Strong oral and written communication skills with a desire to build collaborative relationships with colleagues.

Adaptable work schedule based on production needs, with the ability to work on a shift basis to meet business demands.

Ability to lift, arrange and transport objects up to 25‑30 lbs.

Experience with SAP or GMP regulated systems is an asset.

The annual salary for this job ranges from 58,500.00 to 79,100.00 CAD.
