Overview

Warehouse Worker / Material Handler

Join a small, collaborative warehouse team as a material handler, supporting daily operations by safely handling materials, preparing and packaging shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory control using an ERP system. This role focuses on order picking, replenishing stock, and organizing small parts to keep production running efficiently, with regular use of a sit-down forklift as part of a manual, hands-on process.

Responsibilities
  • Handle materials and products in a safe, organized, and efficient manner throughout the warehouse.
  • Prepare and package shipments using equipment such as pallet wrappers and SDCB, ensuring accuracy and secure packaging.
  • Move parts and products weighing up to 50 lbs several times a day, following safe lifting practices.
  • Stack, organize, and put away products in designated warehouse locations to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Update inventory accurately in the ERP system to reflect stock movements, picks, and replenishments.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift for approximately 20% to 60% of the day, depending on workload, while performing other manual tasks when not on the machine.
  • Pick parts according to customer or production orders using the required technology and tools.
  • Pre-kit jobs and projects according to the schedule, including panels, sheet metal, fans, electrical components, and other small parts.
  • Refill flow racks and blue bins on the production floor to ensure team members have the parts they need to assemble units efficiently.
  • Work closely with the production supervisor to ensure upcoming projects are prepared and materials are available in advance.
  • Focus on picking, replenishing, and putting away small boxes, small quantities, and small parts through manual processes inside the warehouse.
  • Manually fill small blue bins with the correct components to support continuous production.
  • Use ladders or lifts when required to access materials stored at height, following safety procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, share feedback, and support other departments when additional help is needed.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency while completing tasks and adapt to changing priorities as required.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of recent warehouse experience, including order picking and operating a sit-down forklift.
  • At least 1 year of recent sit-down forklift operating experience.
  • Current forklift certification (forklift CERT) or demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Experience working in a manual warehouse process, including manual picking, replenishing, and bin filling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a large facility.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with previous ERP system experience.
  • Comfort working at heights using ladders or lifts, following all safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Great attitude and eagerness to learn new tasks and processes.
  • Willingness to share opinions and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Flexibility to perform other tasks or assist in different departments when needed.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
