Laboratory Technician A

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician A to join our lab working out of our Vancouver location. The successful candidate will be given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assist with administrative and laboratory activities.

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results.
• Perform analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in Science.
• 2+ years’ laboratory experience and basic laboratory skills, along with familiarity with lab processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally communication.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
