Production Manager - metal industry

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• MINIMUM 5 years working in a metal/metal parts or related manufacturing environment
• Strong management, planning, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience managing a multi-cultural workforce

• Plan the production schedule
• Manage the production process in accordance with Quality Management System
• Meet or exceed KPI's
• Establish standard labour hours and measure variances
• Create, implement, and improve standard operating procedures
• Manage the process to ensure first pass meets or exceeds quality standards
• Calculate the labour and material costs for each project
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance to established quality processes
• Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs
• Implement policies and goals across different departments
• Enforce compliance health and safety standards and procedures in plant
• Coach and develop employees
• Supervise and motivate the production teams
• Ensure the performance of the employees meets set standards
• Participate in projects relating to manufacturing

• Salary: $85,000 - $92,000/year plus year end bonus
• Shift: Day Shift (Mon - Fri) but must have flexibility for various shifts as needed, time in lieu of
