About the Job:

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

Responsibilities:

Operation of Water Treatment Plant;

Handle and mix reagents according to Safe Operating Procedures and BC Mines Act;

Must be willing to work night shift;

Must be able to work unsupervised;

Capable of running samples though the lab in the WTP;

Monitor the mill tailings circuit discharge;

Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;

Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly and quickly;

Conduct troubleshooting activities when problems arise;

Complete Operator Report Sheets, computerized data entry, and Daily Logbook.

Required

Qualifications & Skills:

Operating of a water treatment plant;

3 years’ operating experience in a water treatment plant;

Mining industry experience desired;

Valid driver's license;

Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;

Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce.

Additional Information:

Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.

Eligible for monthly bonus.

Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
