Monitoring Inventory:
Track inventory levels and report low stock to supervisors to ensure timely reordering of products.
Weighing and Packaging:
Weigh bulk produce items and package them into customer-sized portions according to store policies and customer needs.
Handling Produce Safely:
Follow all safety protocols for handling fresh produce, including washing hands, using gloves, and maintaining proper hygiene to prevent contamination.
Customer Service:
Occasionally assist customers by answering questions about produce quality, availability, and pricing.
Assisting with Deliveries:
Help receive and unload produce shipments from suppliers, inspecting the delivery for quality and quantity accuracy.
Reducing Waste:
Monitor produce for signs of spoilage, removing unsellable items, and reducing waste by creating packages or promotions for products nearing their expiration date.
