Working within ISCT's global branding and positioning, this hands‑on role helps shape and execute the Society's marketing and communications across its digital portals, keeping ISCT's properties modern, consistent, and on‑brand and providing clear, impactful messaging of the Society as a global leader in cell and gene therapy (CGT).
SPECIFICRESPONSIBILITIES Web design and content
- Design, build, and maintain content and pages across ISCT websites, including the Institute of Training & Development (ITD), working within the Society's content management system (Higher Logic).
- Lead the ongoing refresh and modernization of ISCT web properties, bringing fresh, contemporary design ideas and ensuring a clean, consistent, on‑brand experience across all sites.
- Customize, build out, and troubleshoot web templates and content using HTML and CSS.
- Design and production
- Provide graphic design and production support for marketing collateral, including digital and print materials, with hands‑on work in Canva.
- Prepare PowerPoint slides for external promotion.
- Curate, edit, and strengthen copy across web, email, and collateral, offering suggestions and improvements while maintaining a clear, consistent brand voice.
- Prepare and design email campaigns using Informz and Hub Spot (design, copy, and distribution), building polished, templated, on‑brand emails and turning provided copy into clear, engaging messaging.
- Monitor and report metrics (website traffic, email click rates, social media followers and engagement).
- Track and record marketing metrics monthly (using Google Analytics and CMS‑based data sources).
- Track competitor activities and changes to support continuous benchmarking for the Society.
- Development and execution of the Society's annual report.
- Provide exceptional services and a member‑focused perspective in delivering ISCT marketing and communications.
- Fulfill other job‑specific responsibilities as required
- Thrive in a multi‑tasking, team‑oriented, and deadline‑driven environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Undergraduate degree required. A major or certificate in web design, digital media, marketing, or communications is preferred. A major or minor in science is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of related experience in web design/production, digital content, or marketing, working on‑site in a corporate or professional office‑based environment is required.
- Strong, hands‑on web skills: designing, building, and maintaining websites within a content management system, including customizing content and templates with HTML and CSS.
- Experience with Higher Logic is preferred; experience with a comparable enterprise or association CMS (or platforms such as Word Press or Webflow) is considered an asset.
- Solid graphic design skills and strong proficiency with Canva.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, third‑party email software, social media platforms, website content management, and analytics.
- Experience building and designing email campaigns, ideally in Informz, including templated, on‑brand emails rather than text‑only sends.
- Experience developing and editing copy for web, email, and promotional/marketing materials, with the ability to curate provided copy and suggest improvements.
- Experience working with brand accounts on Linked In is considered an asset.
- Basic experience with CRMs, especially Hub Spot, is considered an asset.
- A proactive, accountable, and team‑oriented individual who can take a web or design project from brief to a finished, polished result independently, with strong ownership of projects and consistent follow‑through.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the discipline to catch and fix the small things (broken links, inconsistent branding, typos) before anything goes…
