UGM Media Relations Specialist Full-Time

Elevate your storytelling skills with UGM as a Media Relations Specialist. This full-time role involves managing media campaigns and enhancing public awareness of UGM's impact across Metro Vancouver and beyond.

In this permanent position, you'll lead day-to-day media relations activities and support major campaigns, such as Major Meals. You’ll independently oversee various communications projects, ensuring alignment with UGM's mission and strategic goals. Your expertise will help strengthen UGM's reputation and foster relationships with media outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as UGM spokesperson in media interactions

• Develop and maintain messaging for reputation management

• Oversee media training for UGM spokespeople

• Manage media requests and facilitate media access

• Execute Major Meals media relations campaigns throughout the year

Requirements:

• Minimum three years in communications or newsroom

• Excellent verbal and written English skills

• Proficient in project management software

• Valid BC driver’s license

• Knowledge of DSLR cameras is a plus
