Destination Vancouver is the official destination management organization for one of the world’s most naturally beautiful and culturally vibrant cities. As a member-based, not-for-profit organization, Destination Vancouver plays a critical role in driving sustainable economic growth for the region through global destination promotion, strategic partnerships, and visitor engagement. Representing a diverse network of tourism and hospitality businesses, the organization is focused on firmly positioning Vancouver as a leading year-round destination, with a deep commitment to responsible tourism and long-term community impact.

With a well-established global reputation, an effective brand platform in a shifting global geopolitical and consumer space, and a clear and focused emphasis on digital innovation, Destination Vancouver is incredibly well-positioned to continue ratcheting Vancouver’s profile as a premier global destination.

Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Vice President, Global Marketing (VP) will lead an established and diverse portfolio spanning brand, digital, content, and visitor experience. The role is focused on advancing Destination Vancouver’s global marketing efforts, driving greater clarity of focus, effectiveness, and impact across international markets.

The VP will oversee the continued evolution of Vancouver’s global brand and go-to-market strategy, while identifying new ways to engage target audiences across priority international markets. As Destination Vancouver continues to expand its digital capabilities, including the application of AI and emerging technologies, the Vice President will play a key role in ensuring marketing efforts remain relevant, agile, and aligned with evolving opportunities.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a highly strategic marketing leadership role, shaping how one of the world’s most sought-after destinations engages with global audiences. With a strong emphasis on digital innovation and the application of emerging technologies, the role offers the chance to bring a new perspective to how destination marketing is defined and delivered.

This role is located at Destination Vancouver’s corporate office in downtown Vancouver. Destination Vancouver respectfully acknowledges that the land where it lives, works, connects and seeks inspiration, and the land to which it welcomes visitors, is the traditional, unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh).

The compensation for this role is in the $190,000 – $230,000 range, complemented by a competitive total rewards package including an annual incentive program, Group RRSP, comprehensive health benefits, and additional wellness benefits.
